Found a strange entry there:<br \/>\n<code>domain hsd1.co.comcast.net<\/code><\/p>\n<p>no other machines have that entry. How to remove?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/askubuntu.com\/questions\/755297\/resolveconf-u-keeps-adding-an-unwanted-search-domain-to-resolve-conf\">https:\/\/askubuntu.com\/questions\/755297\/resolveconf-u-keeps-adding-an-unwanted-search-domain-to-resolve-conf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Didn&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe change <code>\/etc\/dhcpcd.conf<\/code> to not request the domain name?<\/p>\n<p>That removed the domain from <code>resolv.conf<\/code>, but autofs still fails.<\/p>\n<p>Manually running <code>sudo mount bruce:\/ \/mnt\/bruce\/<\/code> works, so it&#8217;s not NFS sucking. definitely autofs.<\/p>\n<p><code>&gt; mount |grep bruce<br \/>\nbruce:\/ on \/mnt\/bruce type nfs4 (rw,relatime,vers=4.0,rsize=1048576,wsize=1048576,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=600,retrans=2,sec=sys,clientaddr=192.168.1.106,local_lock=none,addr=192.168.1.102)<\/code><\/p>\n<p>maybe I need to uncomment the NFS4 line in <code>\/etc\/auto.net<\/code>? I&#8217;ve never done that anywhere else&#8230;no effect<\/p>\n<p>This worked&#8230;no idea why: <a href=\"http:\/\/russell.ballestrini.net\/autofs-net-automount-stopped-working\/\">http:\/\/russell.ballestrini.net\/autofs-net-automount-stopped-working\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll try rolling back my other changes to see if they&#8217;re necessary too.
