They are fun and easy, and everyone enjoys pictures! This year however, I was inspired (thanks to Pinterest!) and I decided to hand make some Christmas cards for some special people on our Christmas card list. I couldn&#8217;t decide on just one card though, so I ended up making a bunch of different types of cards &#8211; I just had so many ideas!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1046.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-46\" title=\"2012 Scallop Tree Card 2\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1046-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1046-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1046-624x832.jpg 624w, http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1046.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>As I said, I got many of my ideas from Pinterest. Here are some of the sites I where found inspiration and ideas: <a href=\"http:\/\/inkspiredtreasures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">inkspiredtreasures.com<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.splitcoaststampers.com\/gallery\/photo\/1819777?&amp;cat=7183 \" target=\"_blank\">splitcoaststampers.com<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/makingpapercrafts.blogspot.co.uk\/2011\/10\/love-christmas.html\" target=\"_blank\">makingpapercrafts.blogspot.co.uk<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stampingliz.com\/2010\/10\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">stampingliz.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Supplies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Christmas paper packs (one with double sided paper)<\/li>\n<li>Ribbons<\/li>\n<li>Brads (black, gold, and &#8220;blingy&#8221; ones)<\/li>\n<li>Christmas rubber stamps and black, red, &amp; green ink<\/li>\n<li>Christmas paper punches (star, hearts (2 sizes), tree, snowman, snowflakes of various sizes, circles of various sizes)<\/li>\n<li>Adhesive (double sided adhesive and elmer&#8217;s glue)<\/li>\n<li>Blank white cards with envelopes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1033.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-36\" title=\"2012 Snowman Card\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1033-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1033-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1033-624x468.jpg 624w, http:\/\/www.mjblythe.com\/beautiful\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DSCN1033.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So I made a few of each of these cards, and\u00a0 they turned out so well! After I made a bunch of cards, I realized that the ones with ribbons and brads would probably need extra postage&#8230; so off to the post office I went to buy 65 cent stamps. Since I was paying extra for postage on a handful of cards, I decided I&#8217;d put some wax seals on those ones too. Why not? He lit the candle and dripped the wax, then I swooped in and pressed the seal down.
